Cookie policy

CareerLab uses few cookies. Strictly necessary ones keep you signed in and remember your language; analytics cookies start only if you agree. Below you find the full list and how to change your choice.
1.What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. We treat similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage), the same way. We use them in line with Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and the GDPR.
2.Strictly necessary cookies
The platform does not work without them, so they do not need your consent (Art. 4(5) of Law no. 506/2004). We never use them for advertising or tracking.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-[ref]-auth-token (may be split into .0, .1) | Keeps your sign-in session so you stay signed in | Until you sign out [confirm maximum lifetime] | CareerLab (Supabase) |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your language (Romanian or English) | Session | CareerLab |
| cl_consent | Stores your cookie choice | 6 months | CareerLab |
| sidebar_state | Remembers whether the app's side menu is open or closed | 7 days | CareerLab |
3.Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
They show us which pages and features are used, so we can improve the product. We use PostHog hosted in the EU. It loads only after you click “Accept all” or turn on “Analytics” in the settings; until then nothing is sent.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_[key]_posthog (and the localStorage entry with the same name) | Pseudonymous identifier for usage statistics | 1 year | PostHog (EU) |
4.How to change your choice
You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. Open the settings below (also available in the footer of every page, under “Cookie settings”) and turn off “Analytics”.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
5.Questions
For questions about cookies or personal data, write to us at [[email protected]]. Full details are in the Privacy policy.
